5 Tips to Make Cleaning Easy For Busy Parents

Tips for Cleaning and DisinfectingI don’t know about you, but I feel like 2021 is a reset for so many things! Like many of you, our family is pretty much home 24/7, and it feels like we are constantly cleaning up after the kids and usually deep clean the apartment once a week. Of course, because of COVID, we are constantly disinfecting. I am always looking for new products to try out that will make disinfecting and cleaning easy, so I was excited to try out Art of Green and CLORALEN bleach.

I was especially excited to try out these products because 2021 is the year that I am really focused on decluttering and making sure things are looking and feeling fresh in our home, especially since we are spending so much time here.

Art of Green is a new line of multipurpose cleaning products with natural ingredients that come in delicious scents: Lavender Eucalyptus (perfect for a Latinx/French family like our own!) and Citrus and White Flowers. Both smell absolutely delicious!

CLORALEN bleach is a new product on the market which can be used to disinfect and clean. As someone who doesn’t know a whole lot about cleaning, I appreciate the thorough instructions on the bottle about how to use CLORALEN to clean each room! (It’s also important to follow instructions when using cleaning and disinfecting products).  I also love that the cleaning instructions — and everything — is in English and Spanish on the bottle.

Cleaning can be overwhelming for many busy parents– It definitely helps to have the right cleaning materials– That’s why I was excited to try CLORALEN and the Art of Green line. I love CLORALEN for the deep cleaning we do once a week, and the smell and natural products in the Art of Green line are perfect for cleaning the day to day messes, which if you have kids (and especially toddlers who love art projects, LOL) you know what I’m talking about!

5 TIPS TO MAKE CLEANING EASY FOR BUSY PARENTS

I think as busy parents we’re always looking for tips to keep things from getting out of hand in the tidying/tidying/cleaning department!

If you’re a mom (or parent) that gets overwhelmed with all the tidying, cleaning, disinfecting and feel like you’re doing it. All.The.Time, I’m sharing some tips below to make cleaning easy and (dare I say?) fun and more manageable:  manageable:

MUSIC is a must. Like many Latinas, I love cleaning with musica! The music depends on the mood I’m in, sometimes, I will put on high energy music, and sometimes, some ballads. Sometimes, I go way back, and sometimes I put on the top 20 hits. For me, music and cleaning go hand in hand.

Keep wipes handy, so cleaning can be easy! I keep Art of Green canisters of wipes around the house, it’s especially helpful for cleaning up the dust that accumulates on the toys, on desks, and for cleaning up after the countless art projects and baking that we are doing at home.

Make cleaning a game. Set a timer, and get to work! Get the kids involved, see how many things the kids can pick up and put away in one minute, or two minutes, etc. Since  Art of Green products are 98% naturally derived and don’t contain any parabens, phthalates, artificial colors or phosphates, it is safe to be used around people of all ages!

Tidy up daily– a little bit every day to make sure we keep germs away! The key to keeping things clean is to not let the cleaning accumulate–I love the Art of Green multi spray and wipes for the everyday cleaning of my counters, appliances, and the sticky handles and doorknobs.

Art of Green Spray and Wipes

Have the right supplies. Our bathroom gets deep cleaned and disinfected once a week, but the bathroom sink and toilet have to be wiped down every day. I like the combination of using CLORALEN bleach once a week and then in between deep cleanings, we use the Art of Green spray to clean up the everyday dust and mess.

I also like using CLORALEN to keep the bathtub clean, it’s become a place of refuge and relaxation after a long day, or a fun moment for Sofi, who loves bathtime playtime. Keeping our bathroom clean and disinfected is super important!

Right now, due to COVID, we rarely have visitors come, but we always make sure our home has been disinfected before a guest comes, especially my parents, who are elderly.  I like the versatility of CLORALEN — it has so many uses, even to keep the laundry clean and get rid of stubborn stains.
