The Fun World of Mo Willems in Spanish

I was so excited to discover that the classic children’s book Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems existed in Spanish…but it wasn’t until I attended the Mo Willems exhibit at the NY Historical Society that I discovered that many more of Mo’s books are available in Spanish!

I love Willems’ way of highlighting the different emotions. The illustrations of course are adorable, simple yet evoking the appropriate response from readers, and Knuffle Bunny is great for a NYC kid, especially if you’re from Park Slope! I love the way he mixed photographs with illustrations.

Here are my favorite books by Mo Willems in Spanish:

El Conejito Knuffle

¡No dejes que la Paloma conduzca el autobús! (Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

¡Estamos en un libro!

¡La Paloma Encuentra un Perro Caliente!

¿Debo compartir mi helado?

Make sure to check out the Mo Willems Exhibit at the New York Historical Society!

If you’re in NYC and interested in Mo Willems, make sure to check out the  Mo Willems exhibit at New York Historical Society. On April 16th, head over to check out the exhibit in Spanish, the last date of this season’s  ¡Hablemos! Spanish program at NYHS.

The NY Historical Society is hosting its last ¡Hablemos! section this Saturday April 16th from 2-4 pm. Families will be exploring the Mo Willems exhibit ¡en español!
