Remembering Sandy Hook–we need Gun Reform!!
Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook. 26 innocent people— many of them innocent children— perished at the hands of a disturbed man.
My question is, how Many more, Congress?
I mean really?
How many innocent children have to die at the hands of reckless, disturbed people who you protect under the guise of “constitutional liberties?”
Surely that is not what our Forefathers had in mind when they wrote the 2nd Amendment… you either see how wrong this is, or you are cowards afraid to stand up for what is right, and instead let partisan politics cloud your judgment.
Yesterday, another shooting occurred, just 8 miles near Aurora, Colorado, which has seen its fair share of shootings as well.
Again, I ask you— how many more?
How many more until you stand up for what is right?
I’m not calling for a ban on guns. I’m calling for reform, so that mentally unstable people do not get their hands on guns, so that the gun market is regulated and guns aren’t bought at the local Walmart.
We need background checks, a national registry, a limit to where guns can be sold, minimum age requirements and psychological evaluations.
How many more innocent victims before we have real meaningful gun reform?
