Perfect Mom Gifts for Quarantine

These are interesting times we’re living in and many of the ways we would normally celebrate MOM we simply can’t do right now. So, I’ve curated this list of the perfect mom gifts for quarantine! Really, this list of gifts would make good auntie gifts, madrina gifts, cousin gifts, BFF gifts– you name it!

In choosing these gifts, I really thought about the things that, as a mom, I was doing more of during this quarantine. I also wanted to help small businesses I know and love.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg coffee cup

Even in quarantine, a girl needs her coffee, amirite? I love this RBG mug I found on Etsy. It is a good reminder to use our power to fight for what we believe in.

The Book of Gutsy Women

This book is a compilation of stories of strong women throughout history in different areas. I have the audiobook (read by Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, the book authors) and I’ve enjoyed learning about amazing women throughout history, one of my favorites being Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz (turns out some nuns were pretty badass) and education pioneer Maria Montessori, just to name a few.

It’s available in hardcover and audiobook, where ever you buy your books!

(You can get it at Target here.)

They also have other sets:

Wine, vino, le vin

Some moms (me included) love a glass of wine at the end of the day. For many of us, it’s cultural! (If you’re just reading my blog for the first time, my husband is French!) Wine has been a part of my life since I studied abroad in 2003.

There are a few ways that you can gift wine, you can purchase a wine club subscription, here’s a good list that explains the different types of wine clubs, or, my preferred way, is to contact a local wine seller and place and order for delivery to that special mom in your life. There are many wine shops that are offering delivery services, and again, you are helping small businesses in the neighborhood!

For the mom that has it all? or is a minimalist? How about making a donation in her honor to an organization helping others during the pandemic?

Some of my faves are:

Immigrant Families Together (because despite what is happening, asylum seeking families still need help!)

Lifeline Food packages by Kim Calichio helps families who don’t have food by bringing food packages to them directly.

Touching Land this organization is based in NYC and helps immigrant women. I’m a proud monthly supporter.
