My Favorite Kids Books about Inspirational Women
Books are a wonderful way to inspire our sons and daughters to learn about inspirational women. That’s why I am very intentional about the books I have at home and I wanted to share these Kids Books about Inspirational Women that we have in our home!

. I also love these books because they show that all people, even those who now we see as super successful, have had adversity in their lives, but have overcome these to be successful people who use their voices to stand up for others.

TURNING PAGES – JUSTICE SONIA SOTOMAYOR

Turning Pages is a wonderful book written by Justice Sotomayor where she describes how books have defined the important moments in her life. The book is also available in Spanish, it is called Pasando Páginas.
GLORIA’S VOICE – GLORIA STEINEM

One of the most awesome baby gifts we received was this book! Gloria Steinem is a living legend and this book is beautifully written.
SHE PERSISTED: 13 American Women Who Changed the World

This books is a great collection of portraits of American women that every child should know about! There is also a book about women from around the world called “She Persisted Around the World” that is on our wish list!

LITTLE FEMINIST Board books
This is a great intro collection! It is perfectly sturdy for babies and toddlers, my daughter loves them. (As you can see by the image below!
Here are two more books for your list. One came out in 2015, Madam President: The Women Who Paved the Way, and just coming out this spring is Growing Up Supremely: The Women of the U.S. Supreme Court, which are designed for younger kids to see how these great women in our government experienced their childhoods and developed into leaders in our community. Both books are by Prof. Nichola Gutgold, who is a prominent expert in women in politics and leadership.
