Motherhood

Blogust is here! Here’s how you can give vaccines to kids in need.

#blogust

As a Shot@Life Champion, I’m committed to helping children get vaccines in developing countries because vaccines can help children lead healthy and productive lives. August is a very special month because BLOGUST is here! It is a great way to use your social media skills to provide vaccines for kids in need, and it’s EASY!  All you have to do is COMMENT or SHARE on social media! (Come on, how easy is that? You know you were doing it anyway!) Walgreens will donate $1 for every social media comment or share on Blogust, up to $60,000… how awesome is that??

This year’s theme is Happy and Healthy Firsts. For the whole month of August, a different blogger who will be sharing his/her story. All you have to do is comment or share that story and you will have donated a vaccine!

The list of bloggers is phenomenal this year, check it out:

Here’s how you can help!

* Go to your calendar.

* Set a reminder for every day at the same time. “Comment on Blogust.”

* Go to the list, check out the blogger of the day, make comment, tweet and share!

* VOILA!

You can also  Sign up here for a daily email from the Blogust team which would make every SUPER easy

(but I’d still add to calendar so you don’t forget!)

Challenge yourself! Have a goal! My goal is 100! But you can start by a comment a day. That’s already 30! If you comment and share something once a day, that is 60 vaccines in August! How cool is that?

I have to give a shout out to my friend and mentor Lorraine C. Ladish who is participating on August 22nd. Make sure to give her some love!

Other fabulous bloggers on the list include Anne Geddes (YES from the ADORABLE baby pics!) and Crafty Chica, Kathy Cano Murillo!

START NOW!

Blogust_BadgeToday is Alumni Day at Blogust… it’s the day when all the past fab bloggers and writers share their happy and healthy stories, so make sure to check them out here!  There are some fab bloggers who have participated in Blogust in the past like my great friends Jeannette Kaplun (Hispana Global), Migdalia Rivera (Latina on a Mission), Sili Recio (Chief Mami at My Mamihood) and Fred Goddall (Mocha Dad.)
