The World Cup is exactly 30 days away! I’m so excited because I love watching fútbol when teams I’m passionate about play. You know what is even more exciting? That it’s a family event! That I get to cheer on different teams–all courtesy of my multicultural vida. So who is Ladydee cheering for?

The USA above all, even though they’re not considered soccer powerhouses like say, Italy or France. But I am American and there is something so powerful about watching your country play in the World Cup! Plus, I’m not going to lie- I happen to think that Landon Donovan and Tim Howard are total hotties…

Yes, if there is one reason you should watch the World Cup, if you don’t care about soccer, it’s for the hotties… But I digress!

Next on that list is my parents’  land Ecuador. This is only the third time Ecuador has made it to the World Cup. It’s wonderful to see that team make it because the whole country really rallies behind them.

Finally,I have to support the country that has a piece of my heart: France. France is my husband’s country, and my son is half French. As long as France isn’t playing USA or Ecuador, I will be rooting for them. Unfortunately, this year France and Ecuador are in same group– what are the odds right?  So they will be playing each other… that will definitely be an interesting game at home.

At home, we’ve started counting down… there are 30 days to go! If you want to countdown, go to Open with the World and download your free countdown (It is so cute!)
