Six Years of Blogging and New Beginnings

Today I got an email from Tumblr letting me know that my blog is 6 years old. OMG friends I’ve been blogging for six years!!

And how significant it is that today, on the 6th anniversary of the start of my blog, that I would be starting to say goodbye to my current job. Today I started packing up my desk.
As many of you probably know, I decided to quit my 9-5 position in order to pursue other projects, have more control of my schedule and spend more time with my family. (More on that to come!)

Wow– what a ride it’s been for six years! I’m so grateful for having discovered the blogging world. I’d like to thank my brother because at the time I knew nothing about blogging or SEO or WordPress, but I knew he had a blog on Tumblr, so I wondered “why not?” And off I went to join the blogging world. I also have to give a shoutout to Ana Flores because she inspired me to share my journey as a mom raising a bilingual kid.

Truthfully I didn’t know what I was doing in the beginning. I just kept writing and soon I started making connections with other bloggers, networks and attending conferences. Blogging has offered me amazing opportunities!

I’m still learning as I go, but learning is a lifelong process, you’re always learning and evolving! I’m thankful for the great advice and support I’ve gotten along the way. There are friends and mentors  that I met in my first blogging conference for example, that I’m still friends with today. People that share with me, that support me. I’m so grateful for the experiences I’ve had until now and I can’t wait to see what else is in store!

I’m excited for the opportunities that will come my way now that I will have more time to focus on my blogging and content creation.

I cant wait to see where this new phase as a blogger/entrepreneur/mompreneur will take me! I’m putting out out there: I’m ready to open myself up to the abundance of the universe.
