Latina and Proud? Join Our Hispanic Heritage Month Instagram Challenge

I was looking fora fun way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and I decided to combine heritage with one of the things I love the most: Photography! So, I’m teaming up with Elle and Elizabeth, my girls of Oye Mami Show,  to have a Hispanic Heritage Month Instagram Challenge!

From September 15th to October 15th we will be posting pictures on Instagram daily, fulfilling our Hispanic Heritage month prompts– words or frases that celebrate all things Hispanic heritage. It will be so easy and fun! We you hope you will join us!

The goal of this challenge is to showcase our beautiful and nuanced culture. Our hope is that through these visual stories we can show the world that yes, we can be (and we are)  Latina AND American.

Here’s all you need to know and join our Hispanic Heritage Month Instagram Challenge:

A year ago I came up with a crazy idea that I knew I could only spearhead with Elizabeth. The past year has been a journey. We have studied, worked, laughed, and laughed more. Elizabeth is so hardworking and even though she is younger than me I hope to one day be the wife and mother she is. We refer to Liz as a saint and constantly wonder how the hell she does it. Yes, her home is really that spotless. Yes, every single room. Not just the Insta-worthy corner most of us (I) have. Have a very Happy Birthday, Liz! There is no one else I would rather take this journey with. Enjoy your day at @mydevacurl and sorry I posted the most awkward pictures of us. FYI, I hate touching humans so Liz was afraid to hold me ?. Swipe ⬅️for more, warning they get funnier. -Elle #happybirthday #oyemamishow

Did you know that the original “middle of the world” monument in #Ecuador is off by about 300 meters? They have now calculated it by GPS and you can stand on it and if you go to the @museo_intinan you get to see some really cool experiments and walk on the ACTuAL equator. I did it (check out hashtag #ladydeelginecuador) and it was pretty cool. #HispanicHeritage Month is starting soon and I’m excited to share this and more fun facts about me )including my DNA results!), Ecuadorian culture and What it means to be a #Latina here on IG and on my blog! Stay tuned for details on this cool project I’m working on with @oyemamishow. Details coming soon! Hope you follow along!! #latinaswhotravel #traveltuesday #allyouneedisecuador #quitoluzdeamerica #ilovequito #experiencequito #quitoecuador #equator #mkbkids
