The Christmas App has different sections that help kids learn about culture in different ways through recipes, artwork, villancicos (Christmas carols). Cooking with Chuy, kids can learn about traditional Christmas recipes like ponche de Navidad, tamales and Rosca de Reyes. Villancicos: The app has links to Mundo Lanugo's villancicos! Playing dress up: Kids can dress Gloria up as Mrs. Claus, an elf or a rey mago! Make your own Gingerbread house creation! Check out this one my son made: The Mundo Lanugo app is available for download on Android and IPhone. It's $1.99 but there are no pesky in-app purchases to worry about! The app is great to get kids to learn songs and Christmas vocabulary. I also couldn't end this post without talking about my all-time favorite Mundo Lanugo video, El Burrito Sabanero (which we sing all year long!) Check out Mundo Lanugo's YouTube channel, they've got great videos, like these short video clips of sayings (dichos/refranes) in Spanish! Check out more fun Christmas ideas for bilingual kids on My Pinterest board!
My son has been playing with the @mundolanugo #Christmas app and he loves it!! It is similar to their original app, but this one is all about #Xmas!! It has #villancicos, Christmas recipes like ponche de Navidad, rosca de reyes, and tamales. One of the things I love about it is that it doesn't have froze annoying in-app purchases. (Thank goodness!) Make sure to download the Mundo Lanugo Xmas app and get in the espíritu navideño! #mkbkids #latinokids #Navidad #kidsapps
