5 Must-Try Places to Eat in Miami

Miami is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle (and cold!) of NYC! In just 3 hours, you can be in a mini paradise. The sunshine, the beach, the nightlife and of course– the food make it a great place for a long weekend. Every year for the past three years I get to go to Miami to attend Hispanicize. In that time I’ve discovered a few culinary gems that I want to share them with you. These are places that I have tried myself, and this is not a sponsored post! Just my honest opinion!

Here are 5 must-try places to eat in Miami: ¡Buen provecho!

1. Toro Toro Miami

Toro Toro is located in the Intercontinental Hotel’s lobby. The food includes ingredients from all over Latin America and the Caribbean. There are tapa style plates that are perfect to share, main dishes cooked to perfection and an impressive wine list. Toro Toro also offers happy hour specials and a brunch menu as well.

Fresh meets refreshing.

2. Havana 1957

I can’t say enough good things about Havana 1957– the food is delicious, as are the mojitos. There are several locations in Miami, the one near Brickell has live music!

3. Ceviche 305

Ceviche 105 serves Peruvian cuisine. From the traditional, like lomo saltado to the modern like different takes on appetizers and drinks. The seafood is fresh and the service is great. You will love it!

4. GreenStreet Cafe- Coconut Grove

This is a great place for brunch on Coconut Grove. There are no reservations taken on the weekends but the wait is worth it. (Just sit on the velvet couches and relax with a drink until you’re called!) The menu offers classic American fare for brunch and lunch, fresh and organic ingredients… the Mimosas are delicious and the freshed press orange juice- YUM. The fish tacos are really good, as are the pancakes. There’s something on the menu for everyone!

5. Playa Cafe – South Beach

This place is a MUST if you’re in South Beach. It’s what you would call a “hole in the wall” a no frills, counter service joint. But BOY is the food phenomenal. There’s an electronic jukebox, fresh pressed juices and fresh and finger-lickin’ good food. You will not be disappointed. No website, just head on over: 1515 Washington Ave, Miami Beach.
